“Of all of our inventions for mass communication, pictures still speak the most universally understood language.”  -Walt Disney

“A number of images put together a certain way become something quite above and beyond what any of them are individually.”  -Francis Ford Coppola

“A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.”  -Ansel Adams

“When I take a picture I take 10 percent of what I see.”  -Annie Leibvitz

I can’t imagine life without pictures.  I can’t imagine life without seeing what my parents looked like years before I existed, or remembering events from my childhood that otherwise might have been forgotten.

We are so fortunate to have cameras at our disposal, and an endless amount of “film.”

I have to admit I take more pictures on my iphone because of the convenience.  However, depending on the event, I will pull out my Nikon DSLR, and click away.

There is still so much to learn in the arena of taking photographs, but practicing in different lighting, and various shutter speeds and aperture, experience truly is the best training manual.

Come and see some glimpses of a crisp life.
